OUR STORY

We started Santo Remedio in 2013 running pop ups & supper clubs to bring the flavours of Mexico we love & grew up with in Mexico to Londoners. After a  few months in Shoreditch in 2016 we opened our doors at 152 Tooley Street in London Bridge in September 2017. Our food is inspired by the taquerias, markets, homes & celebrations of Mexico. 

We import speciality ingredients like pasilla, serranos & grasshoppers from Mexico to give our dishes a true taste of Mexico. We also work with fantastic local producers. Our dishes are influenced by time spent living in Mexico City, the Yucatan & Oaxaca. 

We look forward to welcoming you soon at our restaurant for a meal or to our upstairs tequila & mezcal bar for a cocktail or two.

RESERVATIONS

We take bookings for lunch and dinner for parties of any size, and save half of our seats for walk-ins. If we are full, you are welcome to have a drink in our upstairs Tequila & Mezcal bar and we will seat you as soon as possible. 

Parties up to 7 guests are welcome to dine from our a la carte menu and can book on the widget below. If you would like to book a table for 8 guests or more (we can easily seat parties up to 30 guests) your party will be dining from one of our five-course feasting menus priced at £42 or £37.

Christmas is one of the most important festivities of the year in Mexico & is a time of great celebration. We have created a menu to share some of the country’s most iconic & festive dishes with you to be accompanied by music, cocktails & the best of Mexican hospitality.

Our Christmas menus have been designed to encourage sharing with others & have been created so that the flavours & dishes balance & compliment each other. We serve regional Mexican food, using traditional cooking techniques & chillies, herbs & spices from across Mexico.

Our dishes are inspired by regions like Hidalgo, in the north of Mexico, coastal regions like the Pacific & Baja California, the Yucatan peninsula, as well as Mexico’s culinary heartland Oaxaca & of course Mexico City, where our families are from.

Tribute to Oaxaca

For our next dinner in the Mesa Santa series of events, Edson Diaz Fuentes is incredibly honoured to be welcoming one of the world’s most acclaimed Latin American chefs, José Manuel Baños, whose restaurant Pitiona has ranked among Latin America’s 50 best, to collaborate on an exclusive series of three tasting dinners this October.

On this occasion Santo Remedio and AeroMexico have joined forces to bring José Manuel Baños, widely known as one of Mexico’s most inventive and celebrated chefs, from his native Oaxaca for this exceptional five-course tasting menu paired with Vetusto Mezcal Ensamble & Tobala cocktails, Mexican wine, Tequila and Ocho Reales artisanal Mexican beer.

The culinary hot ticket in London, running from 22nd-24th October inclusively, will offer diners a unique and rare occasion to sample modern Oaxacan cuisine as well as traditional dishes from the rich and diverse culinary tradition of the region, which Manolo and Edson will be collaborating on.

Join us for a five-course tasting dinner with pairings on Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd or Thursday 24th October, 6.30pm.

DAY OF THE DEAD

SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER - 10AM - 11PM

Join us in celebrating Día de los Muertos on Saturday 2nd November 2019. We will be open for bottomless brunch from 10am - 4pm then we will be serving our a la carte menu from 4pm - 11pm. We’ll send a complimentary margarita to anyone who dines with us in fancy dress…

NEW YEARS EVE

TUESDAY 31ST DECEMBER 2019 - 5.30PM - 1AM

To toast in the new year we will be celebrating in Mexican style. Tickets are £75 per person, which includes a five-course feasting menu with bottomless margaritas, beer or sparkling wine. Our favourite mariachi band, Los Soneros will be playing live to welcome in the new year.

Please note bottomless drinks are served for two hours, after two hours drinks are paid for. We will be running two sittings, those who book tables to arrive after 9pm will have their table until 1am.
